Blog Entry #1: Hello!

Hi everyone! Welcome to the official Food DJ Studio blog!

Thanks for checking out the blog. I hope wherever you are, you're doing well.

I'll introduce myself first. I'm Food DJ from Food DJ Studio, which is currently just run by me. I have an eclectic spread of interests: birding, tea drinking, cooking, languages and anthropology. My hobbies have almost always included: drawing, painting, story writing, programming and gaming. It's not a surprise that after almost a decade in big tech, I finally decided to pursue game development.

For the past 1.5 years I've been working on a game concept I thought of back in 2024. I won't bore you with too many details about how I got here, but to sum it up, I got really sick and had to make a decision on what I wanted my life to look like. Thankfully, I chose well. I'm healthy and working on my dream; and soon, I'll have a game to share with you!

The game concept is original and has unique gameplay and quirky, silly ideas. We'll call the game "Project Y" until I'm ready to announce the game. In coming blog posts I'll share more about the game, my creative process, game design values and what to expect.
